Senior Associate Attorney ā€“ Business & Real Estate Law

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Prestigious law firm headquartered in Napa Valley, with offices in Roseville and Fairfield, is looking for a talented, hard-working business and real estate attorney with six to ten (6-10) years of experience to join its dynamic practice.  Candidate may work out of our Napa or Roseville office (although Napa is preferred).

MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION:

This attorney will be primarily responsible for handling their own (sizable) case load. Candidates must have experience in managing full-cycle corporation or real estate transactions. Although candidates are not expected to bring their own clients (although a plus) to the firm initially, they must be experienced in marketing their practice and will be expected to develop their own clients. The candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time position.

  • Service clients in all stages of business and real estate transaction.  Including without limitation:

    • Business formations including (LLC, Corporation, Partnerships) including drafting and filing formation documents, shareholder agreements and by-sell agreements.

    • Purchases and sales of businesses.

    • Purchase, sale and lease of real estate.

    • Financings including private placements of equity and bank financing.

  • Act as outside general counsel to firm business clients.

  • Mentor and train junior associates.

  • Active involvement in the community.

  • Perform other duties as necessary as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed to practice law in California.

  • Six (6) to ten (10) yearsā€™ experience in business and/or real estate law.

  • Demonstrated success in helping to build and manage client relationships.

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

  • Large law firm experience a plus.

  • A track record of successfully leading, managing, and mentoring staff and assisting in their growth and development.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
